He or she is responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicles, reporting any defects or items of concern to the appropriate supervisor. Most importantly and without exception, he or she operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:\nAdheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.\nTransports residents to and from the community in assigned vehicles\nHelps residents to safely enter and exit company vehicles using any appropriate adaptive equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, or lifts\nComplies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures\nMaintains cleanliness of vehicles and performs routine maintenance tasks\nObeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road\nCompletes any reports or logs\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nQualifications & Physical Requirements:\nUnrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record\nAble to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles\nBasic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance\nNeat, clean, and professional appearance\nHighly professional and dependable\nSafety and customer service oriented\nUpbeat personality with a warm and friendly demeanor\nAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred\nMust be between ages of 25-70 for insurances purposes\nTwo years of relevant experience required\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
