This role focuses on collecting and organizing information from returned products, assisting with simple inspections and repairs, supporting HVAC troubleshooting activities, and keeping records up to date in tracking systems such as Domo.\nThis position does not require advanced engineering or technician skills. The ideal candidate is organized, willing to learn, and comfortable following procedures while working with multiple teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nRMA & Quality Support:\nReceive and process returned units (RMAs).\nRecord returned product information, symptoms, and customer notes.\nAssist with basic inspections and documentation of product condition.\nTake photos and capture test or inspection results as directed.\nEnter data accurately into tracking systems and dashboards.\nHelp identify recurring issues or trends and share findings with the team.\nSupport quality and corrective action activities by providing clear records.\nBasic Repair & Testing Support:\nAssist with basic electronic board handling, inspections, and simple repairs under guidance.\nPerform visual checks, basic continuity tests, and simple functional tests.\nFollow all safety, ESD, and work instructions.\nSupport setup and basic operation of production test equipment.\nMaintain organization and inventory of boards or parts being worked on.\nParticipate in annual inventory counts.\nHVAC & Service Data Support:\nAssist with collecting HVAC system data, error codes, and basic measurements.\nRecord service findings and observations clearly and accurately.\nSupport verification of system performance against documented requirements.\n\nData Entry & Reporting:\nMaintain accurate records in Domo and other tracking tools.\nEnter, update, and verify data for accuracy and completeness.\nAssist with preparing simple summaries or reports as requested.\nEnsure proper documentation and traceability of collected information.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nHigh school diploma or associate degree; technical coursework is a plus.\n2–4 years of experience in an hourly manufacturing, quality, service, or support role.\nComfort working with data entry, documentation, and basic reporting.\nBasic familiarity with electronic components or mechanical systems.\nAbility to follow written procedures and work instructions.\nWorking knowledge of the Windows operating environment.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nWillingness to learn new processes and tools.\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nPreferred (Not Required):\nExperience with RMAs, quality records, or service documentation.\nExposure to HVAC equipment or manufacturing environments.\nBasic experience with Excel, Domo, or similar reporting tools.\n\nWork Environment:\nHourly position.\nMix of bench work, light technical tasks, and computer-based data entry.\nRequires standing, handling parts, and basic manual work.\nKey Deliverables:\nAccurate RMA records and data entry.\nWell-documented inspections and basic repair notes.\nOrganized tracking of returned products and parts.\nUp-to-date data in reporting systems.\nClear communication of issues and trends to the team.\n\nAbout Acuity Brands:\n\nWe use technology to solve problems in spaces, light, and more things to come.
