This position will help keep our facilities and equipment safe, functional, and well maintained by completing general repairs, troubleshooting maintenance issues, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating specialized services when needed.\nKey Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and routine repairs at restaurant locations\nTroubleshoot facility and equipment issues and determine the appropriate next steps\nComplete minor repairs to doors, locks, hardware, fixtures, shelving, walls, ceilings, and other building components\nAddress routine plumbing-related maintenance, such as minor leaks, faucets, toilets, sinks, and clogs, when appropriate\nPerform basic carpentry, patching, painting, assembly, and other general facility work\nTroubleshoot restaurant equipment and complete general repairs within the scope of the position\nPerform routine and preventative maintenance to help reduce equipment failures and emergency repairs\nIdentify potential maintenance concerns before they become larger or more costly issues\nDetermine when repairs should be referred to a qualified, licensed, certified, or specialized service provider\nCoordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services\nAssist with obtaining parts, tools, materials, and maintenance supplies\nFollow up on open repairs to ensure maintenance issues are resolved\nHelp identify recurring equipment or facility problems and communicate concerns to management\nAssist management in evaluating whether equipment should be repaired or replaced\nMaintain organized records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and outstanding issues\nCommunicate with restaurant and operations management regarding repair status and priorities\nPrioritize maintenance requests across multiple restaurant locations based on urgency and operational impact\nTravel regularly between restaurant locations\nRespond to urgent maintenance needs as reasonably required\nFollow company safety procedures and applicable laws, regulations, manufacturer instructions, and workplace safety requirements\nPerform other related facilities and maintenance duties as assigned\nQualifications Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, construction, property maintenance, restaurant maintenance, or a related field preferred\nBroad knowledge of general building and equipment maintenance\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to safely operate common hand and power tools\nAbility to recognize when a repair requires specialized professional service\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nAbility to work independently and manage changing priorities\nGood communication and problem-solving skills\nValid driver's license and ability to travel between restaurant locations as required\nPhysical Requirements The physical requirements of this position may include:\nRegularly standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and working in and around restaurant facilities\nUsing hand and power tools\nClimbing ladders when necessary to perform job duties\nMoving and carrying tools, parts, supplies, and equipment\nAbility to lift and/or move heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation\nWorking in indoor and outdoor environments and around operating restaurant equipment\nThis position performs general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
