Delivers excellent customer service to patients through participation in a medical care team. Demonstrates a high level of competence with clinical support in accordance with MACCs policies and procedures./ppDescription:/pulliUnder the direct supervision of the clinician, department supervisor or designee, assists in providing clinical care to office patients/liliManages clinicians daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care and maximize clinical time/liliGreets and escorts patients to exam rooms/liliObtains relevant information and takes vital signs as indicated (i.e. height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation)/liliInputs pertinent clinical information into the electronic health record timely and with accuracy and performs a complete medication reconciliation/liliAssists clinicians with clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department. May advise patient of preparation required for exam or additional testing and keeps patients informed of visit status, unforeseen delays and other relevant information pertaining to the patients visit/liliPrepare and maintain exam rooms for patient arrivals. Clean and/or maintain inventory of supplies (medical included) and equipment throughout the practice. Notifies supervisor to order clinical supplies, clinical equipment and pharmaceuticals as appropriate/liliUnder the supervision of a physician, administers routine injections when delegated, and documents in real time and with accuracy/liliEnsures telephone calls are answered timely and clinicians receive necessary information/liliCoordinates care when clinicians are not immediately available, ensuring that telephone calls are triaged appropriately per established protocols/liliAssists in resolving patient concerns by acting as an advocate, as appropriate/liliParticipates in practice and department meetings, trainings, etc. to promote continuous improvement and quality patient care/liliTakes initiative to learn, understand, and stay current with community resources and the greater healthcare system while continuously participating in self-assessment of skills/liliMaintains patient rights and abides by all confidentiality obligations pursuant to CCHC and HIPAA/liliProvides clerical/office support as necessary (i.e. scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients, scanning incoming medical records and paperwork, preparing medical records, answering phone calls and taking messages, faxing, etc.)/liliAbility to float to other MACC practices when required/liliPerforms other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested/liliAssists with the assessment of patient needs and coordinates care under the direction of the clinician/liliVerifies and implements clinicians orders for testing and/or procedures (EKGs, dressing changes, spirometry, Holter monitors, etc.)/liliProvides effective and evidence-based patient and family teaching, using health promotion and health teaching methods in collaboration with the patients values, beliefs, health practices, developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, spirituality, culture and socioeconomic status/liliTriages walk-in patients per established protocols/liliMaintains communication and collaboration with interprofessional team and others to facilitate safe transitions and continuity of care delivery/li/ulpQualifications:/ppLPN (P016) - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:/pulliAbility to read, write and communicate in English/liliGraduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program/liliCurrently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Massachusetts/liliBasic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers/liliStrong interpersonal, customer service, time management skills/liliExperience with current office technology and proficient with computer office applications (Electronic Medical/Health Records, MS Office, etc.)/liliA Minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting preferred/li/ulpRN (P021) - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:/pulliAbility to read, write and communicate in English/liliGraduate of an accredited school of nursing/liliCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/liliBasic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers/liliExperience with current office technology and proficient with computer office applications (Electronic Medical/Health Records, MS Office, etc.)/liliMinimum of two years experience in a clinical setting preferred/li/ulpSchedule Details: 40 Hours Per Week, Mon-Fri, 8a-4p, No Weekends or Holidays *Sign On Bonus Eligible!/ppOrganization: Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod/ppPrimary Location: Massachusetts-Chatham/ppDepartment: MAC-Thompson, Elissa MD/ppAnnual/Hourly: Hourly/ppHiring Pay Range: $39-$49/p/div
