Corporate Controller | PE-Backed Engineering Consulting Platform | Dallas, TXOur client, a rapidly scaling PE-backed Engineering Consulting & Technical Services platform, is looking to hire a Corporate Controller to join its leadership team in Dallas, TX.This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible finance leadership role during a pivotal transformation and growth phase. Reporting directly to the US CFO, the Corporate Controller will play a key role in building the future finance infrastructure of the organization while helping support an ambitious national expansion strategy.The company operates within a project-based consulting environment across Engineering, Infrastructure, Testing, Inspection & Certification, and Advisory Services. Backed by private equity, the platform has grown significantly through acquisitions and is continuing to scale aggressively across the U.S.As part of this evolution, the organization is establishing a brand-new Shared Services Center in Dallas, transitioning Finance operations from New York and building a centralized accounting structure designed to support long-term growth and future M&A activity.This is not a “maintenance” Controller role.The ideal candidate will be a true builder — someone excited by the opportunity to create structure, implement scalable processes, mentor teams, and drive operational excellence in a fast-moving environment.Key highlights of the opportunity:• Direct exposure to the US CFO and executive leadership team• Opportunity to build and structure a high-performing accounting organization from the ground up• Lead a multi-entity accounting function within a complex, high-growth environment• Significant involvement in acquisition integration and finance transformation initiatives• High level of ownership, visibility, and influence across the business• Strong entrepreneurial culture with substantial growth runway aheadKey responsibilities include:• Leading the full accounting function and managing a growing team• Driving month-end close optimization and improving reporting timelines• Overseeing consolidations and multi-entity accounting operations• Standardizing processes across newly acquired entities• Supporting the design and implementation of a scalable Shared Services model• Partnering cross-functionally with operational and business leaders across the organizationWe are looking for candidates with:• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience within complex or multi-entity organizations• Strong hands-on controllership capabilities — this role requires someone comfortable staying close to the details• Deep understanding of project-based / percentage-of-completion revenue recognition environments (engineering, consulting, professional services, construction-adjacent industries, etc.)• Experience operating in high-growth, acquisitive, or PE-backed environments preferred• CPA strongly preferred📍 Dallas, TX 🏢 4 days/week in office💰 $200K base + 20% bonus This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to join a business at a true inflection point and help build a best-in-class finance function within a rapidly evolving national platform.For a confidential discussion, feel free to reach out directly.ecs@hoxtoncircle.com
