IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist
Position OverviewYST Semiconductor Technology Corporation is seeking an IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist to support the company's growing technology infrastructure and end-user computing environment. This role will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support to employees, maintaining hardware and software systems, supporting Microsoft 365 administration, assisting with network infrastructure, and helping ensure the reliability and security of company systems.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who enjoys working directly with employees, vendors, and leadership to maintain a productive and secure technology environment. This position will work closely with YST's external IT service provider and internal departments to support daily operations while helping build scalable systems to support company growth.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd User SupportProvide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for employees. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues. Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, and peripherals. Assist employees with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications. Manage employee onboarding and offboarding IT activities. Maintain inventory of company technology assets and equipment. Systems AdministrationSupport Microsoft 365 administration, including user account management, licensing, permissions, and security settings. Assist with Active Directory and identity management systems. Monitor system performance and proactively address issues. Support data backup and recovery processes. Maintain user access controls following company policies and procedures. Network & Infrastructure SupportAssist with management and troubleshooting of network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and internet connectivity. Support VPN and remote access solutions. Work with vendors to maintain and improve IT infrastructure. Assist with server administration and maintenance activities. Participate in infrastructure upgrades and technology deployments. Cybersecurity & ComplianceAssist in maintaining cybersecurity best practices and company security policies. Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents. Support endpoint protection and vulnerability management programs. Assist with employee cybersecurity awareness initiatives. Help maintain compliance with company IT policies and industry requirements. Security & Access: Maintain camera and badge systemsManager access control and support cybersecurity practices Documentation & Process ImprovementCreate and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and user guides. Document support tickets, resolutions, and recurring issues. Recommend process improvements and technology solutions. Assist in developing scalable IT processes to support company growth. Vendor & Project SupportCoordinate with external IT vendors and service providers. Support technology implementation projects. Assist with procurement and deployment of IT equipment. Participate in planning and execution of infrastructure improvements. QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of IT support, help desk, or infrastructure experience. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently. PreferredExperience supporting Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory. Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management platforms. Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network security concepts. Experience working with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools. Experience supporting manufacturing or semiconductor environments. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or equivalent. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong technical troubleshooting abilities. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing organization. Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement. Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in office, warehouse, and cleanroom support environments as needed. Ability to install and troubleshoot equipment in various work areas.
