Adherence to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures and proficiency in software implementation are key aspects of the role.\n\nWhat you’ll work on\n\nDesign, implement, and evaluate software using languages like C, C++, C#, and Python.\nAssist in preparing software design requirements and specifications per Abbott's design development process.\nEvaluate selected designs through testing and documentation, addressing moderate scope problems.\nParticipate in software development, verification, and validation under guidance.\nAdhere to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures for software development.\nDemonstrate proficiency in software implementation.\nExercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering Mathematics, or related field\nMinimum 6-8 years of related experience or master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong familiarity with current development tools (IDEs, debuggers, unit test frameworks)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience testing software is a plus\nKnowledge of design controls and regulations for medical device development is a plus\nKnowledge of the principles of quality software engineering as described by software lifecycle development processes that are consistent with ISO, IEEE, or other FDA recognized standards is a plus\nExperience with software development life cycle processes is a plus\n\nThe base pay for this position is $114,000.00 – $228,000.00.
