NMC Engineer – 5G/LTE Network Maintenance (Night Shift)- all 5 days onsite- Plano TexasNight ShiftsContract roleaccepting on W2 candidates, No C2C candidatesWe're looking for an experienced NMC Engineer to join our network maintenance team supporting 5G and LTE RAN operations during the nightly maintenance window (8 PM – 5 AM CST).In this role, you'll be the hands-on executor of scheduled maintenance activities — performing software and firmware upgrades on eNBs and small cells, running pre/post checks, executing MOPs, collecting logs, and ensuring zero-error completion of all nightly tasks.You'll work closely with day-shift engineering teams and escalate issues following established procedures. This is a critical role for network stability. If you're someone who takes pride in clean execution, catches what others miss in an MOP, and stays calm when things go sideways at 2 AM — we want to hear from you.What you'll doExecute scheduled maintenance tasks during the nightly maintenance window with zero-error disciplinePerform software and firmware upgrades on eNBs, small cells, and associated RAN network elementsReview MOPs in advance — identify missing steps, flag issues before execution beginsRun pre/post checks on all work performed; monitor alarms, traffic, and cell status to resolutionCollect logs and perform log analysis in coordination with engineering and HQ teamsExecute scripts and collect data as requested by the engineering teamSupport customers during self-performed maintenance — reviewing MOPs, providing real-time guidanceManage escalations internally and externally following defined escalation proceduresWhat we're looking for5+ years of experience in wireless network operations or RAN maintenance (or equivalent) • Strong working knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, and network architecture (RAN/USM network elements)Solid IP networking background — IPv4/IPv6, routing fundamentalsProficient with Linux/UNIX operating systemsExpert-level terminal application skills — SecureCRT, xShell, or PuTTY (advanced macro/VB skills a strong plus)Experience executing MOPs and performing SW/FW upgrades on live network elementsComfortable working independently on the night shift with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills — able to coordinate with engineering, HQ, and customers under pressureScripting experience (Python, Shell, or similar) is a bonusBachelor's degree in EE, CS, or related field preferred — equivalent hands-on experience consideredScheduleNight shift · 8 PM – 5 AM CST · 10-hour shifts On-call availability may be required for critical escalationsWhat you didn't know about us:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental and Vision BenefitsLong-Term growth potential401kWith this position, you will get the opportunity to work with a game changing client and further advance your already valuable experience in the telecom industry!We are Connectors.
