This role is critical to maintaining production uptime by delivering the right materials to the right place at the right time.\r\nThe Material Handler acts as a key liaison between Production, Logistics, and Inventory teams, ensuring alignment on material availability, movement priorities, and workflow execution. The role is highly focused onmaterial transport ,Kanban replenishment , andproduction support , with packaging and shipping activities as secondary responsibilities when required. The Material Handler will also utilize systems such as Tulip software / SAP to support material tracking, workflow execution, and operational visibility.\r\nMaterial Movement and Production Support (Primary Responsibility)\r\nMove raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility to support production flow.\r\nActivities associated with Freight Packing, to include crating and packaging.\r\nEnsure timely delivery of materials to production work cells based on schedule and demand.\r\nExecute Kanban replenishment activities to maintain continuous production operations and prevent shortages.\r\nPerform frequent plant walks to monitor material levels, identify shortages, and proactively replenish inventory.\r\nTransport WIP (work-in-process) between operations to maintain workflow continuity.\r\nSupport production teams by responding to real-time material requests and priority changes.\r\nMaintain organization and proper staging of materials in both warehouse and production areas.\r\nUtilize Tulip software for material tracking, workflow execution, and data entry.\r\nInventory and Warehouse Support\r\nMaintain stock levels in the raw materials room through routine replenishment and monitoring.\r\nAssist with part pulling and staging based on production requirements.\r\nCollaborate with Inventory on cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.\r\nSupport material organization and layout improvements within warehouse and production areas.\r\nShipping and Receiving Support (Secondary Responsibility)\r\nStage finished goods and materials for outbound shipment.\r\nAssist with picking and preparing orders for shipment when required.\r\nBreak down and organize inbound shipments, including Germany collectives.\r\nMove incoming materials to appropriate storage or production locations.\r\nSupport inspection and processing of incoming materials.\r\nBackup Coordination\r\nPerform the duties, as directed by the Distribution Manager\r\nSafety Responsibilities\r\nOperate safely while performing material movement throughout the warehouse and production areas, including proper use of forklifts and material handling equipment.\r\nAdhere to all Bender Inc. safety policies, procedures, and applicable customer safety requirements.\r\nProactively identify and report safety hazards, risks, or violations during daily material movement and plant activities.\r\nSupport a safe and efficient work environment by maintaining clear aisles, proper material staging, and organized storage areas.\r\nReinforce safe behaviors and practices while working across departments and interacting with production teams.\r\nEnsure compliance with OSHA standards and contribute to accident prevention and loss control efforts.\r\nPromptly complete and support all safety-related actions, including corrective measures and follow-ups.\r\nOther Duties\r\nAs assigned.Requirements:\r\nEducational and Experience Requirements\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\r\n2+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role preferred\r\nExperience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software is a plus\r\nForklift certification or willingness to become certified preferred\r\nStrong organizational and communication skills\r\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departments\r\nBasic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory systems, email, and spreadsheets.\r\nOther Requirements\r\nAbility and willingness to work as a collaborative team member; demonstrates initiative\r\nFlexibility to adjust work hours when required\r\nStrong attention to detail and ability to make sound, practical judgments\r\nMaintains confidentiality and demonstrates professionalism at all times\r\nWillingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the role\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nFrequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.\r\nMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\r\nUse of hands and arms for packaging and handling materials.\r\nAbility to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided).\r\nWork Environment\r\nWork performed primarily in a warehouse/production environment.\r\nMay be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial equipment.\r\nAppropriate PPE must be worn at all times (provided by the company).\r\nThe above statements and information are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
