Position: Workday Financials Functional AnalystDuration: Through end of 2026Location: 100% RemoteNo Visa sponsorship available only GC and USC can applyOverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Business Analyst (BA) to support financial systems, processes, and reporting within a Healthcare Payor environment. This role will partner closely with Finance, IT, and operational stakeholders to analyze, design, and optimize General Ledger (GL) processes, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience with Workday Financials.The ideal candidate brings a blend of accounting knowledge, business analysis skills, and systems expertise to drive improvements, ensure data integrity, and support regulatory and reporting requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a liaison between Finance/Accounting and IT teams to support GL-related initiatives and system enhancementsGather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for General Ledger processesAnalyze current-state workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and complianceSupport implementation, configuration, and optimization of financial systems, especially Workday Financials (GL module)Assist with month-end and year-end close process improvements and automation opportunitiesEnsure accurate financial data mapping, chart of accounts alignment, and integration flows between systemsSupport audit readiness, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements in a healthcare payor settingCreate and maintain process documentation, data flow diagrams, and user guidesPartner with reporting teams to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and data validationParticipate in testing (UAT), defect resolution, and system upgrades or enhancementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field5 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Systems AnalystStrong understanding of General Ledger accounting processes (journal entries, reconciliations, close cycle)Hands-on experience with Workday Financials (General Ledger module strongly preferred)Experience working in a Healthcare Payor environment (e.g., insurance, managed care, health plans)Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specificationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with financial systems and ERP platformsPreferred QualificationsExperience with system implementations, upgrades, or transformationsKnowledge of healthcare-specific financial processes (e.g., claims, premiums, capitation, regulatory reporting)Best Regards,ChetnaChetna@smartcaliber.comwww.smartcaliber.comTruth Lies in Heart
