{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"601e1961c5e96d75b9beabc6","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/601e1961c5e96d75b9beabc6","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/601e1961c5e96d75b9beabc6","title":"Welder","description":"POSITION: Welder - 1st & 2nd Shift\nLOCATION: Jupiter/Stuart FL.\nSTATUS: Contract to Hire\n\nJOB SUMMARY\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:\nSet-up and installation of welding equipment\nExecution of welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specification\nQuality check of the performed work before operation step confirmation\nPreparation/confirmation of the required quality documentation\nReporting of used production time per production step\nSetting up welding parameters, selects consumable materials, and prepares work piece for new welding process trials together with engineering staff\nDesigns and fabricates welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required\nReporting of technical deviations with the Non-Conformance Reporting System (NCR)\nCarrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools\nKeeping the working environment and machines in a clean and proper condition\nFollowing Environmental Health and Safety regulations\nContinually improving operations and the working environment\nOther tasks assigned by production manager or supervisor\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation & Training\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent\nCertified in welding (TIG & MIG) or equivalent years of experience.\nMust complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix\n\nSkills/Experience\n3+ years of experience with TIG welding\n3+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment\n1+ years of experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys\nExperienced in carrying out visual inspections of welds\nDemonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes\n\nPhysical Requirements\nStooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.\nKneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.\nCrawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.\nReaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.\nStanding. Particularly for sustained periods of time\nWalking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.\n\nPushing & Pulling\nLifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.\nGrasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.\nRepetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\nThe worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.\nThe worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.\nThe worker is subject to hazards.
