{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"600fdfd501f5a8bd5864e122","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/600fdfd501f5a8bd5864e122","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/600fdfd501f5a8bd5864e122","title":"Sales Engineering Specialist","description":"It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!\r\nJob Description Summary\r\nThe Sales Engineering role will support Account Executives in new and existing partner relationships, as well as direct business in order to grow revenue opportunities for our Mainframe business.\r\nRocket Software Sales Engineers are experienced technical professionals with an extensive enterprise software sales background who can successfully be the technical sales lead on software opportunities to progress and close business, and must function well as a member of a dynamic team, while having the ability to also work independently to progress and close business.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nEasily relate to customer challenges and provide clear, non-technical, value-based solutions.\r\nPresent solutions/demos to customers and partners with or without sales support.\r\nSupport partners in all aspects of the sales process.\r\nSuccessfully convey technical details to a non-technical audience, as well as foster credibility with more technical audiences.\r\nProvide knowledge and skills to help qualify business opportunities by understanding the user requirements and technical environment.\r\nProvide ongoing mentoring and guidance on all software components, design techniques, methodology and delivery concept to partners and peers\r\nHandle objections professionally; answer questions quickly and coherently; deal with challenges assertively and persuasively.\r\nSelf-manage assignments and administrative tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBased in United States with applicable software knowledge/experience/work.\r\nA minimum of 8+ years of relevant sales engineering support experience.\r\nAMC Enterprise Software and/or Mainframe Modernization experience preferred.\r\nStrong knowledge of Assembler coding and function skills.\r\nProven experience in Assembler code modernization techniques and/or Assembler conversion to various code languages including COBOL and JAVA.\r\nProblem solving and requirements gathering skills.\r\nEngaging written and verbal communication skills.\r\nHighly motivated and comfortable taking on a variety of tasks in order to satisfy business requirements.\r\nDetail-oriented and can rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts and technologies.\r\nAbility to work independently and engage team support as required.\r\nAbility to prioritize and manage workload to meet defined deadlines.\r\nMust be comfortable working in a rapidly changing and sometimes unstructured environment.\r\nCommitted to Rocket's core values of empathy, humanity, trust and love.\r\nLI-Remote\r\nLI-MM1\r\nThe base salary range for this role is $128,925.00 - $162,350.00 /year.
