The freedom to pursue new ideas, offer different perspectives, and grow in your career is fundamental to working at Dorman.Job SummaryPerform various clerical duties in order to support QC functions.Primary DutiesInspect the quality, quantity and weight of incoming material using various methods and equipmentLog and document inspections as well as rejectionsPlace rejected product into designated reject locationsFollow through on rejections using main-frame computerUse radio frequency hand held scannerUse various QC measuring and testing devicesCommunicate via two-way radioInvestigate quality issues throughout the warehouseOperate motorized industrial equipmentParticipate in department meetings and projectsOperate within standard operating proceduresMaintain neat, clean and well-organized work areaTimely and regular attendanceOther duties as assignedQualificationsAdhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelinesAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsSelf-motivated and detail orientedAbility to learn to operate and pass the motorized industrial equipment tests and obtain licenseComputer experience a plusFamiliarity with company product lines a plusWill be required to cross-train to perform other functions within the quality department.Physical requirement: capability to lift 50 pounds.Working conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk and hear.
