Based on location the role can be hybrid or remote.\nAs a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will provide technical support for Databricks Platform related issues and resolve any challenges involving the Databricks unified analytics platform. You will assist customers in their Databricks journey and provide them with the guidance and knowledge that they need to accomplish value and achieve their strategic goals using our products. They will look to you for answers to everything from basic technical questions to complex architectural scenarios spanning across the entire Big Data ecosystem. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Solutions. This role is hybrid.\nThe impact you will have:\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues related to Databricks platform\nProvide best practices support for custom-built solutions developed by Databricks customers\nDeliver suggestions for improving performance in customer-specific environments\nAssist with issues around third-party integrations with Databricks environment\nDemonstrate and coordinate with engineering and escalation teams to achieve resolution of customer issues and requests\nParticipate in the creation and maintenance of company documentation and knowledge articles\nBe a true proponent of customer advocacy\nStrengthen your AWS/Azure and Databricks platform expertise through learning and internal training programs\nParticipate in weekend and weekday on call rotation\nWhat we look for:\nMinimum 3 years' experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining Python/Java/Scala based applications. Expert level knowledge in python is desired .\nSolid experience with SQL-based database is required.\nLinux/Unix administration skills.\nTwo year experience with Hadoop/Spark in either an administrative, development or support role is required.\nHands-on experience with AWS or Azure.\nCandidate must possess excellent English written and oral communication skills.\nExperience with \"Distributed Big Data Computing\" environment.\nTechnical degree or the equivalent experience.\nU.S. Citizenship Requirement\nIn order to comply with the U.S. Government information security and federal contractor regulations, including Department of Defense Cloud Computing Security Requirements for Impact Level 6 Cloud Service Provider personnel, and facilitate compliance with other regulations such as FedRAMP High baseline, and requirements of certain federal contracts, this role is open to United States citizens on United States Soil only.\nPay Range Transparency\nDatabricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
