Ensures technology projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfills end-user requirements, and identifies and resolves systems issues. Provides applications leadership by facilitating meetings, sharing knowledge and training others.\r\nA typical day\r\nApplication Development, Integration and Support\r\nDevelops, implements, and supports software programs and applications into the organization's business systems.\r\nPerforms code reviews.\r\nExecutes on technical specifications for new and/or enhanced processes.\r\nEnsures projects meet business requirements and goals and fulfills end-user requirements.\r\nMonitors applications and seeks to improve application availability, quality, and performance.\r\nCreates and maintains all required technical documentation per BT methodology and processes.\r\nPerforms daily management and operations of core Compeer business applications including enhancements, bug fixes, interfaces and other business requests.\r\nResolves technical issues including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction.\r\nPrioritizes and coordinates multiple work tasks to meet the expectations of Compeer.\r\nDesigns process flows and technical specifications for customized code, where appropriate, and for testing the interoperability of application modules under development.\r\nCreates standards and processes to develop and facilitate projects and initiatives.\r\nApplications Leadership\r\nFacilitates meetings with BT, Project Delivery and/or business unit team members.\r\nProvides information and training to other team members. Serves as a resource for questions and problem resolution.\r\nResearches and makes recommendations on products, technologies and services in support of procurement and development efforts.\r\nKeeps abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in application development.\r\nSoftware Testing\r\nDevelops written test plans and provides analysis of software system test results.\r\nTests software programs and applications. Addresses issues in program logic.\r\nTests the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software.\r\nThe skills and experience we prefer you have\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.\r\nMinimum 12 years of related work experience developing company-wide applications and linking cross-functional applications across business units and systems.\r\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft .Net, JavaScript, C#, and MS SQL.\r\nAdvanced knowledge of business application and development best practices.\r\nEffective communication skills to clearly and concisely convey technical information to customers and to share ideas, solutions and feedback with team.\r\nEffective interpersonal, analytical, organizational and planning skills.\r\nAbility to apply a methodical and logical approach to problem solving.\r\nAbility to coordinate tasks to meet established deadlines.\r\nAbility to foster collaborative working relationships with BT business clients, operations, security, and vendors.\r\nAbility to train and mentor others.\r\nDemonstrates initiative to remain technically competent by keeping abreast of industry best practices.\r\nQuick learner who thrives in a collaborative team environment.\r\nWorks independently to complete moderate to complex issues.\r\nHow we will take care of you\r\nOur job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
