Build Their Future.\n\nThe CPP Instructor is responsible for providing instruction, guidance, and support to students during the third and final week of the Career Preparation Period (CPP). The instructor creates an engaging, structured, and supportive learning environment while reinforcing Career Success Standards, student accountability, and positive workplace behaviors.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\n\nProvides engaging classroom instruction and training to students during the third and final week of CPP.\nReinforces knowledge, skills, expectations, and behaviors introduced throughout the CPP experience.\nPrepares students for a successful transition from CPP into Academics and their chosen technical career training.\nEvaluates student performance, progress, and readiness for transition.\nProvides individualized support, remediation, and guidance to help students successfully complete CPP requirements.\nEstablishes positive, supportive, and mentoring relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.\nMentors, monitors, and models Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.\nProvides personal and career guidance to help students identify goals and understand expectations for their continued success at Job Corps.\nProvides effective classroom management and maintains a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.\nHolds students accountable for their actions and behavior while treating students with respect and courtesy.\nRoutinely evaluates and accurately documents student performance and progress in the case management system.\nFollows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures student information and data are accurate and not manipulated.\nWorks collaboratively with staff across departments to ensure students receive the services and support necessary for a successful transition.\nCommunicates clearly and professionally with students, staff, management, DOL, and company representatives.\nEnsures the classroom and assigned work area are organized, clean, safe, and conducive to student and staff success.\nCompletes assignments accurately, thoroughly, and within established deadlines.\nMaintains appropriate attendance, accountability, productivity, and professional standards.\nPlans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.\nMaintains the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform assigned responsibilities.\nAccepts direction and supervision from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, Shift Manager, and other designated leadership.\nMay temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments or positions as assigned.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nJob Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nDegree from an accredited institution preferred.\nPrevious teaching, group facilitation, training, youth development, counseling, or Job Corps experience preferred.\nExperience working with young adults or in an educational, workforce development, or training environment preferred.\nStrong classroom management, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to engage and motivate young adults in a structured learning environment.\nAbility to establish positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.\nAbility to provide constructive feedback and hold students accountable while maintaining a supportive approach.\nAbility to effectively present information to groups and adapt instruction to meet varying student needs.\nAbility to accurately document student information and maintain confidentiality.\nMust possess a valid in-state Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.\nMust demonstrate professionalism, dependability, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.\n\n“Adams and Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
