You would be trained on all the support needs for a number of our Supported Living clients, provide support to staff over the phone, find coverage for open shifts with other staff, and also be available to work shifts with clients in their homes as needed during an on-call 24 hour shift.What does your typical day on E-Cell look like?Organizing coverage for open shifts with our clientsResponding to emergency calls from support staffDiscussing emergency supports with clients’ families as neededSupporting staff with anything out of the ordinary!When you are working with clients, what does your day look like?You will be providing emotional support and companionshipGet some exercise and walks around their neighborhoodDo arts and craft projectsConnect with friends and loved ones virtuallyMeal planning and cooking mealsLight cleaning around their homesPersonal and intimate care (bathing and toileting)Wheelchair lifts and transfersGrocery shopping and other errands Using delivery or pick up servicesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentTwo years experience working in the field of human services preferred. Someone who has an understanding and commitment to the philosophy of inclusion, access and consumer-driven services. Someone who has the ability to work cooperatively with consumers, their support systems, employers and other agencies. Someone who has the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a teamSomeone who is willing to commit to a minimum of one year on the E-Cell teamLocations:Working primarily in the Tri-Valley region: Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore. Our agency supports clients throughout Alameda CountyValid California driver’s license, a driving record that meets agency standards, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicleSchedule:This is a part-time position.
