These rugged, high-reliability systems integrate processing, I/O, power, storage, networking, FPGA, and other specialized modules.\n\nThis hands-on role spans embedded Linux, boot software, board support packages, device drivers, microcontroller firmware, FPGA logic, hardware interfaces, and application-level software. The engineer applies a broad understanding of embedded-software practices to moderately complex assignments under general direction.\n\nDesign, develop, integrate, debug, and maintain embedded software for mission processing systems\nDevelop and support embedded Linux platforms, bootloaders, board support packages, device drivers, and board bring-up\nDevelop microcontroller firmware for power control, sequencing, monitoring, communications, and board management\nDevelop embedded applications, diagnostic utilities, manufacturing tools, and system test software\nParticipate in requirements development, design and code reviews, verification, documentation, and controlled releases\nCollaborate with architects, system engineering and test engineering teams\n\nExperience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience\nMinimum two (2) years of related experience in embedded-software or firmware-development. OR (6) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
