Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth and provide an opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityValid Texas teaching certificateDemonstrated competency in music and choirIn accordance with District of Innovation (DOI) provisions, the district may consider degreed applicants with relevant experience for certification flexibilitySpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of music theory, conducting, harmony, and vocal productionKnowledge of curriculum and instructionKnowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rulesAbility to manage budget and personnelAbility to instruct students and manage their behaviorAbility to interpret dataStrong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsExperience:Student teaching or approved internship experienceBuilding/Campus High School/Middle School Salary Type Annually
