CNC Programmer II - 1st Shift
Your JobAs a CNC Programmer II (1st Shift), you will program, set up, and operate CNC milling centers to produce precision components that meet blueprint requirements, tolerance expectations, and quality standards. You will also document best practices and help develop others through training and mentorship.Our TeamYou will join a machine shop team focused on safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. The team works closely with engineering, quality, and production partners to continuously improve machining processes and support business needs.What You Will DoProgram, set up, and operate Fanuc and HAAS CNC milling centers using MastercamInterpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to define dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequencesProduce parts to close tolerances using appropriate gauges and inspection toolsDocument setups and machining processes using written descriptions, sketches, and/or models to support repeatability and knowledge sharingTrain and mentor junior operators and apprentices on setup, safe operation, and process disciplineFollow required safety procedures and support a clean, organized work areaSupport overtime and weekend work when needed to meet production commitmentsPerform additional duties as assigned to support shop prioritiesWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)3–7 years of experience in manual machining and CNC setup/programming (including conversational programming)Experience setting up and operating CNC milling centers (Fanuc and/or HAAS)Ability to read and interpret complex machine and component drawings/blueprintsAbility to speak/read English and follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to train others and share machining knowledge effectivelyWillingness to work overtime and weekends as neededWhat Will Put You AheadProficiency with Mastercam programmingDemonstrated experience documenting setups/processes for repeatability and standard workStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to improve cycle time, quality, or scrap performance through process adjustmentsAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
