Systems engineers execute a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs, and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nCollaborate across horizontal support organizations\nUtilize FLIGHT DECK and standard work to mature engineering processes and tools.\nExecute modelling within an MBSE environment aligned with best practices and industry standards, related but not limited to requirements, functional architecture, logical architecture, physical architecture, interfaces, and trade studies.\nEffectively manage a collaborative digital environment by supporting data management, tool and process sustainment, authoritative sources of truth, digital threads, and data integration.\nProvide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams.\nAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.\nMonitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments\nLead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks\nParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews\nProvide leadership to help focus and integrate new technologies smoothly into NPI programs and production\nOther Model-Based Enterprise responsibilities as-required.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position\nThis role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\nDue to security requirements, this position must be able to work a full-time in the office schedule\nDesired Characteristics\n5 years of relevant experience in gas turbine engines\n1 year of relevant experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\nActive DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate amongst cross-functional teams\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
