Environmental Engineer

Bickmore Diversified is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is practical, solutions-driven, and ready to work on complex construction related environmental projects across Maine.This role is ideal for a candidate who understands both the technical side of environmental engineering and the realities of construction operations. The right person will help support projects involving environmental remediation, contaminated soil and groundwater management, dewatering, permitting, compliance, and site investigation.Responsibilities include: • Supporting environmental remediation and civil/sitework projects from planning through execution • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, work plans, and environmental documentation • Assisting with permitting, regulatory coordination, and agency communication • Overseeing soil, groundwater, and other environmental sampling programs • Providing field support during active construction and remediation operations • Coordinating with project managers, contractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies • Helping develop practical, cost-effective solutions for environmental challenges in the field • Monitoring compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety requirements, and project specificationsQualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field • Experience with environmental remediation, site investigation, permitting, or compliance preferred • Knowledge of contaminated soil, groundwater, stormwater, and environmental construction practices • Strong communication and technical writing skills • Ability to work both in the office and in the field • OSHA training, EIT, or PE licensure is a plus • Valid driver’s license requiredWhat we’re looking for: • Strong work ethic • Problem-solving mindset • Ability to operate in a fast-paced construction environment • Willingness to take ownership and help build systems as the company grows • Someone who wants to be part of a team doing challenging, meaningful workWhy Bickmore Diversified?Bickmore Diversified is a growing Maine contractor focused on complex projects including environmental remediation, demolition, civil construction, pile driving, ground improvement, and structural work.
