We foster a culture where our employees, clients, and company grow and succeed together.\nAs a successful member of our team, YOU:\nTreat clients and colleagues with respect and compassion\nEmbrace a team-first mentality — no egos, no drama\nTake initiative and ownership of your responsibilities\nAsk questions, seek solutions, and take pride in your work\nValue growth and use feedback to improve\nContribute fully, whether the task is big or small\nYou’ll thrive as an Assistant Controller if you bring:\n5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience\nA BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nStrong accrual accounting experience\nExperience with financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting\nUnderstanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and indirect cost allocation\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills\nAbility to work through detailed financial information with accuracy\nComfort taking direction, asking questions, and learning established processes\nStrong communication, follow through, and organizational skills\nA growth mindset and desire to move into a Controller role\nBonus if you have:\nExperience with Sage 100 Contractor or Acumatica\nCost accounting experience\nJob costing experience\nExperience in a small or mid-sized company\nExperience supporting process improvement or system clean up\nPrior Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar experience\nKey responsibilities:\nSupport day-to-day accounting and financial operations\nPrepare and review reconciliations, reports, and supporting schedules\nAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis\nHelp improve financial systems, policies, and processes\nReview costs, allocations, and financial details for accuracy\nSupport internal stakeholders with reporting and financial information\nAssist with audits, compliance, and accounting best practices\nLearn Syscon’s accounting structure, reporting expectations, and internal processes\nBuild toward broader finance leadership responsibilities over time\nCome grow with us!
