This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, configuring and deploying endpoints, and ensuring all devices meet company security and operational standards. The position requires a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting capability, experience with Windows imaging and endpoint management, and a disciplined approach to documentation and process adherence.This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance at Cogstate's headquarters in New Haven, CT.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day IT support for internal users and external sites (onsite and remote).Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across endpoints.Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.Escalate complex issues appropriately and contribute to root cause analysis.Build, maintain, and deploy standardized Windows images.Configure and provision laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.Manage full device lifecycle (procurement, staging, deployment, refresh, decommission).Ensure devices comply with security baselines and company standards.Support MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF or equivalent).Perform hardware diagnostics, repair coordination, and replacement.Configure and validate hardware to meet operational requirements.Install and support endpoints, peripherals, and office IT equipment.Assist with testing and validation of specialized or site-specific equipment where required.Maintain accurate documentation for device builds, configurations, and support procedures.Document incidents, resolutions, and changes in the ticketing system.Create and update SOPs, knowledge base articles, and technical guides.Track asset inventory and maintain accurate records.RequirementsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceCompTIA A+ or equivalent certification (preferred)2–4+ years of experience in IT support or desktop support rolesProven experience with Windows image creation and deployment (required)Experience with device provisioning and endpoint managementStrong background in hardware troubleshooting and supportExperience supporting Windows, macOS, and mobile devicesExposure to Microsoft 365 and Azure AD / Entra ID environment.Experience with MDM solutions such as Intune, JAMF, or similarSkills, Knowledge and Specialist ExpertiseStrong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and applicationsExperience with Windows imaging technologies (Autopilot, MDT, SCCM, or equivalent)Knowledge of device lifecycle and asset management practicesUnderstanding of endpoint security, patching, and configuration managementFamiliarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, connectivity troubleshooting)Strong documentation and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and operate in a fast-paced environmentClear communication skills with both technical and non-technical usersBasic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell preferred, not required)What’s In It For YouGenerous Paid Time-off: Cogstate employees receive 20 days of vacation leave, 10 days of personal leave and 10 paid public holidays.401(k) Matching: As you invest in yourself and your future, Cogstate invests in you too: we match up to3% of your yearly salary in Cogstate’s 401k program.Competitive Salary: We offer competitive base salaries plus additional earning opportunities based on the position.Health, Dental & Vision Coverage: We've invested in comprehensive health & dental insurance options with competitive company contributions to help when you need it most.
