Operating in an Agile environment, this position requires strong expertise in Python, experience with market and credit counterparty risk platforms, and proficiency in developing cloud-native applications on AWS.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop scalable Python-based microservices to process data streams using streaming, messaging, and REST technologies.\nDesign and implement robust solutions for market and credit counterparty risk platforms.\nUtilize advanced Python features, such as context managers, decorators, and descriptors, to build efficient and maintainable code.\nArchitect and implement solutions using Consul, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality financial systems.\nCreate and optimize database models for SQL, MongoDB, and key-value stores.\nBuild and maintain testing frameworks using Behave and PyTest to ensure software reliability.\nDesign and implement asynchronous operations, multithreading, and multiprocessing in Python.\nDevelop and deploy cloud-native applications in AWS environments.\nLead the design and integration of messaging, streaming, and REST APIs.\nEnsure high-performance, scalable solutions with consistent deployment processes.\nDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\n8+ years of commercial-grade software development experience with complex applications.\nStrong expertise in Python 3.4+, including advanced language features, asynchronous operations, and OOP/functional programming principles.\nProven experience with market and credit counterparty risk platforms (optional).\nExperience developing cloud-native applications on AWS (mandatory).\nIn-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and data modeling.\nExpertise in messaging, streaming, and REST API development.\nFamiliarity with tools like Consul, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark.\nProficiency in Agile development methodologies.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent work experience.\nWe are hiring across multiple levels for this job.\nThe base salary range across different levels are:\nMid to Senior level – $180,000 - $220,000\nPlacement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role and level. We are hiring across multiple levels for this job.\nBase salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.\nSalary range disclosure as required by S9427A when hiring in New York.\nOur total rewards program is designed to support employee well-being and professional growth.
