Provide analysis and structural design support on fleet aircraft modifications and existing production aircraft.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nReview Engineering Drawings and Digital Data to ensure efficient load path and adequate structural strength and stiffness\nKeep detailed Stress Notes on design changes and production non-conformances\nUtilize Finite Element Software to solve complex structural problems\nPrepare Structural Reports in support of FAA compliance findings\n\nQualifications\n\nEDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:\n\nPursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:\n\nMechanical Engineering\nAerospace Engineering\nElectrical Engineering\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nProfessional and diplomatic demeanor\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nKnowledge in Statics, Mechanics of Materials, and other related topics\n\nApplicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.\n\nSummer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.\n\nCandidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
