These roles support students with a range of special education needs, including mild, moderate, and severe needs.Don't wait, connect with a recruiter today and see how we can help you find the perfect role.As a Classroom Assistant, you will help create an effective and stimulating learning space, assisting with differentiated instruction, supporting students with various learning styles, and contributing to the overall success of the class.ResponsibilitiesAssisting licensed staff in the classroomAid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learningWork with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presentedProvide support for students in crisisSupport students on outings by driving them into the communityUtilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as - neededCelebrate the students you're working withAll these roles require openness to personal care and willingness to learn!Required Qualifications60 credits, Associates Degree, obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessment, or ParaPro/Praxis Exam1+ Years Experience working with childrenExperience working with children with special educational needsExperience working with personal careIVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance CardApplicants must have professional proficiency in EnglishUS Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this timePhysical Requirements:Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the dayAble to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application processPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in special educationBehavioral Technician or PCA experienceCrisis prevention (CPI) trainingCPR certificationSalary:Pay: $18 - $22 per hour, paid weeklySchedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work)Benefits:Weekly payPaid Sick Leave401K (certain eligibility criteria)About ZenZen Educate partners with public and charter schools across various school districts to build stronger school communities.
