We specialize in designing and building backyard homes that maximize property value and create new living opportunities.\nAs we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to take full ownership of the pre-construction process—from signed contract to shovel-ready.\nPosition Overview\nThis is a high-impact, ownership-driven role.\nThe Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for running the entire pre-construction phase of every project once a client signs—ensuring each job is fully scoped, approved, permitted, budgeted, and ready for a seamless handoff to construction.\nYou will be the central point of coordination between sales, design, engineering, permitting, and construction, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and every project moves forward efficiently.\nKey ResponsibilitiesFull Ownership of Pre-Construction Process\nTake over all projects immediately after contract execution\nDrive each project from signed agreement through permit approval and construction readiness\nOwn timelines, communication, and deliverables across all pre-con phases\nProject Planning & Scope Development\nDevelop and finalize detailed scopes of work for each ADU project\nReview feasibility, site conditions, zoning, and utility requirements\nIdentify risks early and proactively solve issues before construction\nBudgeting & Estimating\nBuild and manage accurate project budgets and cost estimates\nWork with vendors and subcontractors to validate pricing\nContinuously optimize costs without sacrificing quality\nDesign & Engineering Coordination\nManage architects, designers, and engineers to ensure plans are accurate and buildable\nReview plans for constructability and cost alignment\nEnsure all revisions are tracked and implemented properly\nPermitting & Approvals\nOversee the permitting process from submission to approval\nCoordinate with local municipalities, inspectors, and third parties\nEnsure all documentation is complete and compliant\nVendor & Subcontractor Management\nSource, bid, and select subcontractors for upcoming projects\nBuild and maintain strong vendor relationships\nEnsure scope alignment between plans, budget, and trades\nTimeline & Handoff to Construction\nBuild detailed pre-construction schedules\nEnsure projects are 100% ready before construction begins\nDeliver clean, organized handoffs to the construction team\nQualifications\n1+ years experience in construction, pre-construction, or project management\nStrong understanding of residential construction (ADU experience is a major plus)\nExperience with permitting and zoning processes (or ability to learn quickly)\nAbility to read and interpret plans, site layouts, and scopes\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail\nStrong communication and coordination skills\nComfortable owning multiple projects simultaneously\nWhat Success Looks Like\nProjects move smoothly from contract to permit without delays\nAccurate budgets with minimal surprises\nClean, complete, build-ready project handoffs\nReduced bottlenecks between departments\nFaster cycle times from signed deal to construction start\nCompensation & Growth\nCompetitive salary based on experience\nPerformance-based bonuses tied to project timelines and efficiency\nOpportunity to grow into a senior operations or construction leadership role\nWhy This Role Matters\nThis role is critical to our growth.
