This role is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and completing preventative maintenance to ensure safety, reliability, and minimal downtime across the fleet.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulicsPerform routine maintenance (oil changes, brake adjustments, alternators, etc.)Inspect and replace components such as gaskets and hydraulic partsTroubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutionsMaintain accurate service and repair recordsEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety standardsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar roleStrong knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, fuel systems, and hydraulicsAbility to read technical manuals and use diagnostic toolsValid driver’s licensePreferred:ASE xaygatp certification (or similar)Experience working on commercial fleet vehiclesFamiliarity with computerized diagnostic systemsAdditional training in hydraulics or fuel systemsSkills:Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilitiesAttention to detail and safety-focused mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a team
