Production Lead - 1st Shift

Position SummaryThe Production Lead is responsible for supporting daily production operations in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment. This hands-on leadership role oversees workflow coordination, employee support, training, productivity, and quality while ensuring all safety and operational standards are met. The Production Lead works directly alongside team members to maintain efficient operations and achieve daily production goals.Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PMEssential ResponsibilitiesLead daily production floor operations in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated and freezer areas ranging from -10°F to 40°FCoordinate workflow and staffing assignments to ensure production goals, deadlines, and quality standards are achievedMonitor productivity and operational performance using WMS reports and production tracking systemsProvide hands-on support, troubleshooting, coaching, and direction to production associates throughout the shiftConduct daily start-up meetings to communicate goals, safety expectations, and operational updatesTrain and cross-train employees on production processes, procedures, and safety standardsAssist with documenting process updates and supporting continuous improvement initiativesFoster a positive and respectful team environment through strong communication, accountability, and employee engagementWork directly on the production floor performing manual labor and production tasks as neededEnsure compliance with all company safety, security, food safety, and SQF requirementsMaintain professionalism, dependable attendance, and a strong commitment to operational excellencePerform additional duties and support other departments as assigned What We're Looking ForHands-on leader with a strong work ethicPositive attitude and team-first mentalityStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to motivate employees and drive productivityCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum 2 years of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience in a production, manufacturing, distribution, or food production environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by exampleAbility to read and follow labels, processes, procedures, and work instructionsBasic math and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environmentPreferredExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)SAP experience preferredPrevious experience working in food production, cold storage, or temperature-controlled environmentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°FAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during 8-10 hour shiftsFrequent bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and reachingAbility to lift up to 30 lbs continuously and up to 50 lbs occasionally
