This role is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports IT operations, business processes, and survey data entry requirements. The Documentation Specialist ensures accuracy, compliance, and usability of documentation across system administration, infrastructure, business support systems, and data entry functions, thereby enabling efficiency, transparency, and continuity of operations.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop, maintain, and update technical and operational documentation for IT environments, including systems configurations, processes, and procedures.\n\nDocument workflows, policies, and best practices for:\n\nSystem administration (Linux, Windows, VMware, M365, cloud environments).\n\nServiceNow administration, workflows, and integrations.\n\nHelp Desk processes, customer support SOPs, and end-user knowledge base articles.\n\nData entry/keypunching processes for survey operations.\n\nProduce and maintain contract deliverables (e.g., Weekly Status Reports, Monthly Status Reports, progress meeting notes, implementation plans, and knowledge transfer materials).\n\nEnsure all documentation is clear, consistent, accurate, and compliant with federal and standards.\n\nMaintain and publish user guides, training materials, and reference documentation for IT systems and survey workflows.\n\nSupport quality assurance by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with contract and COR requirements.\n\nCollaborate with program staff, IT administrators, and contractors to gather information and translate technical details into user-friendly documentation.\n\nTrack version control, maintain documentation repositories, and safeguard contractor-produced materials (Government property).\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Information Systems, or related discipline.\n\nExperience:\n\n3–5 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or knowledge management for IT or federal programs.\n\nFamiliarity with IT system administration, survey data entry workflows, and ServiceNow platforms.\n\nSkills:\n\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).\n\nAbility to translate technical IT processes (Linux, VMware, M365, ServiceNow) into clear end-user documentation.\n\nStrong editorial, proofreading, and compliance-checking skills.\n\nExperience maintaining knowledge bases and producing structured deliverables.\n\nCertifications (Preferred):\n\nITIL v4 Foundation (to align with IT service management practices).\n\nCertified Technical Communicator (STC) or equivalent credential.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nDesignated as Key Personnel – substitutions require CO approval.\n\nOnsite at expected unless otherwise authorized by the COR.\n\nMust support contract deliverable schedules (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and align documentation with BEA’s strategic IT initiatives and survey processing timelines.\n\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\n\nResolveSoft, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
