Sales Business Development

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development & Sales Specialist to lead growth for our commercial landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance services. This role is responsible for generating new business, building strong client relationships, and securing long-term service contracts within targeted commercial markets.About the RoleThe ideal candidate brings industry knowledge, a proactive sales mindset, and the ability to translate client needs into tailored service solutions.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and close new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and referralsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers including property managers, facility leaders, developers, and procurement professionalsConduct site visits, needs assessments, and client consultations to develop customized service solutionsLead the full sales cycle—from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and contract executionPrepare and deliver compelling presentations that communicate the value of our exterior service offeringsDevelop detailed proposals, pricing models, and responses to RFPsCollaborate with internal teams (estimating, design, and operations) to ensure solutions align with client needs and budgetsMaintain an active and accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools (FreshSales)Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targetsSupport marketing initiatives, campaigns, and promotional effortsRepresent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional organizations (e.g., BOMA, IFMA, IREM, ASHE)Partner with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and high client satisfactionStay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales (experience in landscaping, or exterior services strongly preferred)Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred Required SkillsProven track record of closing high-value deals and managing a strong sales pipelineExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience with CRM platforms (FreshSales preferred), as well as tools like ZoomInfo or CoStar, is a plus Preferred SkillsExperience in landscaping or exterior services
