Heavy Civil Construction Estimator

Therole includes reviewing project documents, performing quantitycalculations, developing cost breakdowns, and assisting with bid andpreconstruction activities. The individual will work closely withproject teams, vendors, and subcontractors to support accurate projectplanning and budgeting. Duties include: prepare detailed cost estimatesfor heavy civil and commercial construction projects; review and analyzeproject plans, drawings, and technical specifications; conduct quantitytakeoffs and determine material, labor, and equipment requirements;obtain pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers; prepare bidproposals, preconstruction submissions, and cost breakdowns; developcost reports, maintain cost estimate documentation, and trackassumptions; assist in preconstruction planning and preliminaryscheduling project resources based on cost data; perform site visits toevaluate existing conditions and verify quantities; coordinate withproject managers, engineers, and subcontractors regarding estimatecomponents; and communicate estimate results and cost-relatedinformation to management and stakeholders.Requirements At least 24 months of experience as a Construction Project Manager,Project Engineer (Construction), Construction Manager, or CostEngineer (Construction) Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management,Construction Engineering, or a related field Ability to travel to project sites up to 20% of the time Must be able to travel independently to project sites not accessibleby public transportation Valid drivers license required Experience with construction project cost analysis, budgeting, costforecasting, scope review, pricing evaluation, subcontractorcoordination, and general cost-awareness gained through projectlifecycle involvement in commercial or heavy civil constructionprojectsHow to apply: Send resumes to mcamire@kingsburyco.com.
