Forklift Operator
Main responsibilities:Operates forklift to move pipe and materialObserves and respects speed limits in plant.Observes and respects load limits of forklift being operated.Inspect the forklift prior start the shift and fill out the check list.Maintains fluid, fuel and lubrication levels on equipment being operated.Reports any mechanical, electrical or safety problems to Foreman and Maintenance.Submits reports and documentation concerning loading to Foreman or Supervision.Constant communication by radio with production to keep the buildings running properly.Constant communication by radio with shipping team to execute the shipping process properly.Maintain the production buildings with the entry tables full and exit tables emptyDelivers documentation to truck drivers as required.Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.Transports pipe from production buildings to the racks.Transports pipe from the racks to trucks.Loads trucks with pipe from shipping bay or stocking area.Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description. Qualifications:Must be able to read and understand the Standard Operating Procedure for the position held.At least six (6) months as heavy-duty equipment operator or heavy forklift operator.Must follow basic Safety Rules and Regulations. Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
