{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5f194b4ff1cffe367c821b8d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5f194b4ff1cffe367c821b8d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5f194b4ff1cffe367c821b8d","title":"Program Manager","description":"Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Program Manager (PgM) .\r\nPosition Details\r\nLocation: On-Site Washington, DC\r\nDepartment: Veterans Affairs (VA)\r\nType: Full Time\r\nMinimum Experience: Experienced\r\nSecurity Clearance Level: Public Trust\r\nSalary Range: $106,292 - $150,000\r\nMilitary Veterans are highly encouraged to apply!\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nManage staff and processes\r\nEvaluate department activities\r\nPlan, direct, and oversee the operations and fiscal health of units, divisions, and/or departments\r\nProvide oversight of the service delivery teams and ensure that they fulfill all the specified contractual requirements\r\nEnsure that the services delivered meet the team's high standards of quality\r\nEnsure all contractually required deliverables are prepared and undergo quality assurance reviews ahead of a timely submission\r\nDevelop the master integrated plan that combines all the individual project plans the service delivery teams are responsible for executing\r\nEnsure the plans are communicated and agreed to with the customer and that the delivery teams have the staff and resources necessary to execute\r\nCoordinate with corporate Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure delivery teams are utilizing the standard processes, forms, templates for internal support requests, deliverables required at the top contract level, Task Order (TO) financial tracking and forecasting, and corporate progress and status reporting\r\nManage all direct labor costs associated with the contract and ensure the incurred costs remain within budget\r\nEnsure resources assigned to the contract have the technical abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of their roles\r\nEnsure all program-related deliverables such as Reports, Design Documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc., required of the contract are prepared in advance of the contractually specified due dates to allow enough time for a quality review prior to delivery to the customer\r\nCommunicates directly with the customer to ensure they are satisfied with the quality of the services the delivery team is providing. If the customer is dissatisfied, the PgM informs the corporate leadership and assists in the development of action plans to resolve current issues and mitigate future ones\r\nRoutinely prepare reports and deliver status and progress review presentations to corporate leadership\r\nDevelop the communications plan and manage to it in the execution of the TO to ensure all information is disseminated accordingly\r\nIdentifies internal and external Risk and enter risks and mitigations into both the customer's and team's Risk and Issues tracking systems\r\nCoach and mentor the junior subordinate Project Managers on the team in the performance of their duties and help them deliver individual career development goals and plans\r\nEnsure there are succession plans in place for any Key personnel on the delivery team and identify cross-training opportunities to ensure there is no critical role or capability that is single threaded through one individual contributor\r\nRequired Skills and Experience\r\nFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies\r\nExcellent problem-solving skills\r\nStrong communication skills to present recommendations and provide training\r\nAn ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams\r\nExceptional leadership and interpersonal skills\r\nU.S. Citizenship required for this position.\r\nProfessional Certifications\r\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\r\nYears of Professional Experience\r\n15+ years of experience managing technical projects, including one year of Program Management experience.\r\nDesired Experience\r\nn/a\r\nFormal Education\r\nMaster's degree in technical discipline; an additional 10 years of experience considered in lieu of degree.\r\nCitizenship Requirement\r\nU.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity.\r\nSecurity Clearance Requirements\r\nMust possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI).\r\nSyms Strategic Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
