Security Engineer- Embedded Systems / Python / Linux / Cryptography

Onsite Glider coding test will be used 36 months contract ; May extend or convert to fulltime Client is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help secure our next generation of connected vehicles. This role will focus on securing embedded controllers, vehicle networks, and the cloud‑based services that connect to them, ensuring our products are resilient against evolving cyber threats while meeting global regulatory requirements.As a senior‑level engineer, you will operate as a technical leader and security subject‑matter expert, influencing architecture, development practices, and risk decisions across multiple product lines. You will work closely with embedded software, electrical systems, and cloud platform teams to implement cryptographic security controls.The following are the responsibilities of the team.Define and review security architectures for embedded systems, influencing the design of new features (embedded, cloud and mobile) to ensure that our security needs can be metDesign key management, and access control mechanisms for resource‑constrained embedded environmentsDesign and develop new security solutions to support autonomyMinimum skills required8+ years of full-stack software development experience, including Python-based backend servicesExperience with Linux distributionsExperience in the application of cryptographic security controls for embedded systemsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering or experience that would be equivalent.What makes you stand outExperience in the development of IoT devicesPKI experience, including certificate lifecycle management and key protectionExperience in a DevOps roleExperience developing AWS-native applications
