Supervises and coordinates the daily operational activities required.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans accordingly.\nIdentify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.\nIntegral part of negotiation of contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contractual agreements.\nMonitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and product specifications to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.\nOversee and execute the purchase order process, ensuring accurate and timely purchase order creation, issuance, and tracking.\nOversee the supplier evaluation and qualification process, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.\nAssist with supplier-related issues, including disputes, quality concerns, delivery delays, and payment discrepancies.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, fleet, installer and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the procurement process.\nSupervise and provide guidance to the purchasing team, including training and input on performance evaluation.\nSupervise related inventory transactions from receiving transactions, debits or invoice discrepancies\nResponsible for scheduling inventories along with review of reconciliation\nManage obsolete, slow moving, and offsite inventory\nIntegral in the annual standard cost setting process for all responsible items\nPosition Requirements:\nCollege graduate with APICS and or Purchasing Certification preferred. Position requires strong knowledge of MRP and related systems. 3 years experience in inventory control is required along with PC skills for generating detail reports and spreadsheets. The position requires good problem solving and decision making skills.\nPhysical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:\nNormal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment. Ability to verbally communicate at all levels.
