Job Description Fill prescription requests accurately and efficiently in an automated refill setting. Prepare, package, sort, and distribute medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Maintain continuous workflow to meet daily production goals and work productively independently or in a team. Read computer generated screens to verify information and replenish medication as needed. Demonstrate problem resolution skills and maintain focus with acute attention to detail. Understand and comply with federal and state HIPAA laws to ensure patient safety and privacy. Pack and ship prescriptions with 100% accuracy using established procedures. Critical Information Onsite position with mandatory overtime based on business needs. Shift: Sunday 2pm-10:30pm, Tuesday-Thursday 6pm-10:30pm, Friday 2pm-10:30pm. Education/Licenses Needed High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience. Pharmacy Tech degree preferred but not required in NYS. Benefits: Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment. Assisting with the flow of prescriptions through the pharmacy Restock the pharmacy picking areas Remove discontinued medication from pharmacy return bin and return to pharmacy Perform general pharmacy and facility Maintain pharmacy files and inventory Supervise clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Provide support on the new pharmacy software Return all expired items to the pharmacy Ask appropriate questions in regards to pharmacy counseling Send a report on the status of the pharmacy Participate in on-call responsibilities of the pharmacy department Assist pharmacy staff in a range of supportive duties consistent with goals, policies and procedure of the pharmacy Maintain a high level of accuracy on consumer insurance information Participate in professional pharmacy organization(s) at the local and national levels to be aware of pharmacy developments Notify pharmacy team members when there is a waiter and track the progress of the prescriptions in workflow Act as a resource for pharmacy technical and professional staff Process more than 10,000 orders per day Assist pharmacy staff in a range of supportive duties consistent with goals, policies and procedure of the pharmacy Assist the pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services Report 2 times per day on status of pharmacy
