Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.\nResponsibilities:\n\nFollow established procedures, processes, or policies.\n\nOperate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials within the facility.\n\nDeveloping a good knowledge of the company and may be assigned to projects for career development.\n\nLearning the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline.\n\nDeveloping the business knowledge required for the full job.\n\nMay resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.\n\nFollows defined procedures and practices.\n\nContacts are typically with immediate supervisor and other members of the team in the immediate organization.\n\nFlex across different products and areas to support business needs.\n\nPerform forklift daily inspections.\n\nAccepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.\n\nParticipate in team meetings and exchange job related information.\n\nDemonstrates attention to detail, attendance, and quality.\n\nPerform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.\n\nPractice safe working habits, following safety guidelines to operation and support of company initiatives.\n\nKnow the basic functions of the ERP system.\n\nMay assist in training of new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.\n\nActively understands and participates with the Drive to Zero program.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nRequirements:\n\n0-1 years of experience.\n\nAbility to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment.\n\nAbility to identify and resolve basic problems.\n\nAbility to effectively work in a team environment.\n\nModels positive and professional work ethics.\n\nEffective communication skills.\n\nPhysical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
