We think you’ll find what you want here because what we do matters - to us, our customers, and most of all, our team members.\nLocation: Warrendale, PA\nSummary:\nThe Controller oversees the Vector Security’s entire accounting function, managing financial reporting, budgeting, audit & tax compliance, internal controls, and financial planning, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies & procedures while providing data for strategic decisions, reporting to the CFO. Key duties include preparing financial statements, managing AP/AR/GL teams, coordinating audits, budget & forecasting, and leading accounting staff to maintain financial health and efficiency.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nFinancial Reporting: Preparing internal and external financial statements, forecasts, and reports (e.g., GAAP-compliant).\nAccounting Operations: Managing daily accounting, general ledger, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.\nBudgeting & Forecasting: Leading the budgeting process, monitoring performance, and advising on financial projections.\nCompliance & Controls: Ensuring tax compliance, implementing internal controls, and managing audits.\nTeam Leadership: Hiring, training, and managing accounting staff.\nStrategic Support: Providing financial analysis and insights to help executive leadership make informed decisions.\nERP System Management (Key Plus):\nPlay a pivotal role in ERP implementation projects and system configuration.\nAnalyze, design, and improve financial workflows within the ERP for enhanced operational excellence.\nProcess Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and leverage ERP capabilities to implement effective solutions.\n\nWhat You Will Need:\nBS Accounting:\nMust have an understanding of GAAP, segmented GL codes, chart of accounts, familiarity with ASC606 revenue recognition standard, and financial statements.\nCPA:\nMust be a Certified Public Accountant.\n10 years' experience required with 4-6 years in public accounting.\nMicrosoft D365 ERP & Great Plains experience is a plus!\nManagerial Experience:\nMust have experience in the effective management of a staff to include disciplinary actions, employee coaching, annual reviews and training programs.\nAdvanced Excel Knowledge\nCompany Procedures/Compliance Issues:\nTo determine correct course of action for circumstances and situations.\nAdvanced Financial Analysis:\nTo be capable of analyzing and evaluating financial data to determine validity, reasonableness and accuracy of that data.\nTo be able to identify financial trends.\nTo be able to suggest improvements.\nAbility to Multitask:\nTo be able to prioritize tasks according to urgency, to be able to delegate and assign duties to staff based on their skills and knowledge.\nTo be able to meet strict deadlines in the delivery of information.\nStrong Communication Skills:\nMust be able to communicate effectively and considerately with a large range of individuals from staff to supervisors, peers, auditors and state agencies.\nWhat You'll Get:\nWe offer a “Total Rewards” package including:\nCompetitive Compensation with Incentive Eligibility.\nMedical, dental and vision coverage\nCompany paid life and AD&D insurance.\nCompany paid short- and long-term disability.\nVoluntary benefit products\n401k retirement savings plan\nFlexible Spending Account\nPaid time off\nTuition reimbursement\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nAbout Us:\nWe are one of the largest security integrators in the country and have proudly been installing innovative security and smart automation solutions in homes and businesses for more than 50 years.
