Our faculty and staff are smart, dedicated people who work to create an excellent urban university experience for bright and motivated students.\nJob Summary:\nUnder the supervision from Director of STEAM Pathways, to perform professional social and educational services to Cicero School District\n4th through 6th grade students and their families under the 21st CCLC grant of NEIU.\nJob Description:\nSupports in the planning, development, and implementation of social and/or educational programs.\nInterviews and assesses the needs of individuals to be served by the program(s).\nActs as support liaison between the institution or agency and the individuals to be served.\nCollaborates with other professional staff members in meeting the individual needs of program participants.\nPrepares and maintains necessary records and reports.\nCoordinates and/or conducts designated program activities.\nDevelops advertising and publicity for the program(s).\nSupervises clerical and/or support staff as assigned.\nPerforms related duties as assigned.\nMinimal Qualifications:\n1). High school graduation or GED\n2). Any one or any combination that equals four (4) years/ 48 months of responsible volunteer or professional work experience in coordinating\neducational and/or community programs or activities\nA). Volunteer/work experience coordinating educational and/or community programs or activities\nB).College coursework in any field of study\n60 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)\n90 semester hours equals three (3) years (36 months)\n120 semester hours or more equals four (4) years (48 months)\n\n(This position requires a background check.)\n\nHourly: $22.00\n\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision benefits, generous time off plans, and participation in the State Universities Retirement System.\n\nHours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on departmental needs)\nNortheastern Illinois University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and invites applications from Women, Minorities, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities, as well as other qualified individuals.
