The company works across a broad mix of public and private construction and has an established four-person finance and accounting team.\n\nThis Controller will sit at the top of the internal accounting function and lead the day-to-day financial operation across *job costing, financial reporting, accounts payable, cost centers, divisional reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and broader construction accounting*.\n\nWe are seeking an experienced *Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or senior construction accounting leader* who is hands-on, comfortable leading a team, and experienced working in a project-based accounting environment.\n\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong experience with *construction accounting, WIP, percentage-of-completion accounting, job costing, financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, multi-division or multi-cost-center accounting, and accounting process improvement*. Experience with a general contractor is highly preferred, although candidates coming from larger specialty contractors or other project-based construction environments will also be considered.\n\nThis person will be expected to help tighten up accounting processes, improve job costing and reporting, and lead a four-person accounting team effectively.
