The position will require rotating to other machinery within the department to complete production requirements needed to fulfill customer needs.\n\nPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities:\nOperate several types of manufacturing machines, safely and efficiently, including but not limited to, drill press, die-form press, brake press, punch press, folding machine, turret punch, tube and pipe benders, roll forming machines, and saws.\nComplete daily production reports, as required.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plus\nPerform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.\nOperate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.\nCommunicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.\nMaintain accurate inventory counts.\nRead detailed blueprints and instructions.\nPerform equipment change-overs and/or die changes.\nHousekeeping and sanitation of areas.\n\nQualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.\nOne to three years manufacturing experience preferred.\n\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.\nAbility to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.\nAbility to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\n\nAttendance Requirement:\nMust maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such a level as is determined in the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nMay be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. Schedule is based on shift and production need. Consistently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear.
