The company has offices in North America, Europe, and the UAE.\nJob Overview\nZenaTech is seeking a Level 1 Drone Engineer to support development and testing of drone technologies, programming drone software, conducting research on drones and robotics, and collaborating with aerospace engineering teams.\nThis is a full-time, on-site role in Mesa, AZ.\nKey Responsibilties\nDrone Development & Testing:\nDevelop, assemble, and test drone hardware and software components.\nPerform routine and diagnostic maintenance on drone systems.\nConduct flight tests and document performance data and outcomes.\nIdentify and troubleshoot technical issues in drone systems and components.\nEnsure all drone builds meet quality assurance standards prior to deployment.\nSoftware & Programming:\nProgram and configure drone flight software and control systems.\nSupport integration of sensors, payloads, and communication modules.\nAssist in developing automation scripts and software tools for drone operations.\nCollaborate w• ith software engineers to implement and test firmware updates.\nResearch & Collaboration:\nConduct applied research on drone technologies, robotics, and UAV systems.\nCollaborate with aerospace engineering teams on design and development projects.\nStay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging drone technologies.\nContribute to documentation of research findings, test results, and technical specifications.\nSafety & Compliance:\nAdhere to all drone regulations, safety standards, and company safety policies.\nConduct pre-flight and post-flight safety inspections.\nMaintain accurate logs of flight operations, maintenance activities, and incidents.\nPromote safe work habits and a safety-first culture within the team.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Required)\nKnowledge of drones, UAV systems, and robotics\nTechnical assembly experience with drone or mechanical systems\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nKnowledge of drone regulations and safety standards\nFAA Part 107 Certification with minimum 200 hours of flight experience\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\n\"We are an equal opportunity employer committed to employment equity utilizing hiring practices on merit and business needs.
