The Math Specialist will also provide leadership for the district's entire Math K-12 program.QUALIFICATIONS:State of Ohio teaching license/certificate Math 7-12Master's degree preferredThree years of successful teaching experienceTraining and experience with mentoring and coaching adult learnersAbility to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writingSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and /or Board Of Education may find appropriate.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilitate the implementation of the District Math Program.Provide building-wide professional development implementing the DistrictMath Program and MTSS Procedures.Work with teachers/administrators in implementation and support of the District Math Plan.Work with the building principals/teacher leaders/math content chairs to coordinate, deliver and provide appropriate 7-12 professional development in math programs.Provide Assessment and instructional support as directed by the Curriculum Director.Work with district math teachers to coordinate math instruction.WORK ENVIRONMENT CHARACTERISTIC CONDITIONS:The work environment characteristics, described here, are not listed in order of importance, and are representative of those an employee encounters while completing the duties and responsibilities of this job.
