Tactical Aircraft Mechanic -- F-16 Sustainment (APG)

At Chipton‐Ross in Greenville, SC, your F‐16 expertise will sustain aircraft availability through meticulous maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and disciplined launch/recovery operations.Your impact Maintain and repair electro‐mechanical and pneumatic systems with precisionConduct operational checkouts and periodic inspections of:Electrical, hydraulic, and propulsion systemsLanding gear and flight controlsFueling/defueling systemsAirframe, furnishings, and crew‐escape systemsDirect aircraft movement and execute launch, recovery, and ground operationsRemove/reinstall access panels, components, and hardwareApply technical data rigorously and uphold safety/quality standardsAdvance sustainment, repair, and overhaul on operational F‐16sCredentials that fit 6+ years of recent aircraft maintenance experience; or 4+ years with strong, relevant F‐16 experienceF‐16 experience requiredDeep familiarity with:Landing gear • Powerplants • Flight controls • Fuel systemsAircraft launch, recovery, and ground movementHigh School Diploma or accredited GEDSkills Matrix (Required) Aircraft Crew Chief / Mechanic experience: 4–6 yearsF‐16 aircraft experience: 4–6 yearsFighter aircraft experience (F‐16, F‐18, F‐22, F‐35): 4–6 yearsSchedule and terms Full‐Time Contract Ends - 1/20272nd Shift | Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AMStart on 1st shift for initial training; transition to 2nd shift upon completionAbout Chipton‐Ross We are a trusted partner to premier aerospace and defense organizations nationwide, matching proven aviation talent to roles where experience, safety, and technical excellence are essential.If you're an accomplished F‐16 APG mechanic ready to strengthen aircraft readiness, we'd like to meet you.
