This position is focused on commercial, institutional, industrial, airport, and sports-lighting projects. This is not a data center construction position, and data center experience is not required.\nThe Electrical Project Manager will coordinate projects from preconstruction and project turnover through completion and closeout. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, materials, documentation, subcontractors, and customer relationships while working closely with field leadership to deliver safe, high-quality, and profitable projects.\nExperience as a Junior Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager is preferred. Candidates with construction management experience and a strong interest in electrical construction will also be considered.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nManage electrical construction projects from initial turnover through completion and closeout.\nReview project plans, specifications, estimates, contracts, submittals, and schedules.\nDevelop and maintain project budgets, cost projections, schedules, and work plans.\nCoordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members.\nPartner with foremen and field leadership to plan labor, materials, equipment, and project sequencing.\nMonitor project costs, labor productivity, committed costs, material purchases, and overall financial performance.\nPrepare and manage submittals, requests for information, change orders, purchase orders, and other project documentation.\nIdentify changes in scope and prepare accurate, timely change-order proposals.\nProcure materials and equipment while monitoring lead times and delivery schedules.\nParticipate in project kickoff meetings, progress meetings, site visits, and closeout meetings.\nTrack project milestones and promptly address schedule, budget, material, or coordination concerns.\nMaintain clear and professional communication with customers and project partners.\nSupport field teams by resolving issues and providing the information needed to complete work efficiently.\nEnsure project documentation is accurate, organized, and current.\nCoordinate testing, inspections, punch-list completion, as-built drawings, training, warranties, and closeout documents.\nPromote compliance with company safety policies, contract requirements, electrical codes, and applicable regulations.\nAssist with estimating, preconstruction planning, and project turnover when needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nPrevious experience in construction project management, project coordination, electrical construction, or a related field.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.\nUnderstanding of construction methods, project sequencing, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with field employees, customers, contractors, engineers, vendors, and company leadership.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Oklahoma as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience as a Junior Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Engineer.\nExperience managing or supporting commercial, institutional, industrial, airport, or sports-lighting construction projects.\nElectrical construction field experience.\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.\nExperience with construction project-management, scheduling, estimating, or document-management software.\nFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code and electrical construction practices.\nExperience managing project budgets, change orders, submittals, RFIs, procurement, and closeout documentation.\nKnowledge and Skills\nProject planning and coordination\nBudgeting and cost control\nScheduling and deadline management\nMaterial and equipment procurement\nChange-order management\nContract and scope review\nConstruction document management\nCustomer and contractor relations\nTeam communication and collaboration\nLeadership, accountability, and problem-solving\nLeadership Expectations\nThe Electrical Project Manager is expected to:\nTake ownership of assigned projects and follow responsibilities through completion.\nCommunicate expectations clearly and address concerns promptly.\nBuild strong working relationships with field leadership and project partners.\nSupport foremen and field teams without unnecessarily disrupting jobsite productivity.\nMake decisions based on safety, quality, schedule, customer commitments, and profitability.\nDemonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.\nContribute to a culture of teamwork, employee development, and continuous improvement.\nAbout Third Generation Electric\nThird Generation Electric is a Tulsa-based electrical contractor serving commercial, institutional, industrial, and infrastructure customers.
