{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"5eacbb33f5fe47e8e4893863","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5eacbb33f5fe47e8e4893863","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/5eacbb33f5fe47e8e4893863","title":"Production Supervisor: 3rd Shift","description":"Production Supervisor: 3rd Shift\nDepartment: SMT (117)\n\nEmployment Type: Full Time\n\nLocation: Chester, CT\n\nReporting To: Steve Hunt\n\nDescription\nJob Title: Supervisor\n\nDepartment: Production\n\nSchedule: Sunday-Friday 10:00pm – 6:30am\n\nFacility location: Chester, CT\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nLeads a project team or multiple smaller project teams or leads a functional team or unit in area of expertise.\n\nPrepares, monitors, and may be responsible for budget, staffing, and or business/operational results of a functional team or project.\n\nDirectly manages individual contributors and may manage other supervisors or group leaders.\n\nAudits work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.\n\nMaintains and updates production records and produces reports as necessary.\n\nManages operation to maximize production of quality products and minimize cost.\n\nTrains and evaluates production employees.\n\nScope:\n\nCoordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team\n\nSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors\n\nDecisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager\n\nTypically, does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised\n\nAll Employees Shall:\n\nComply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements\n\nReport to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards\n\nAttend scheduled EH&S training program\n\nActively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans\n\nRecommend improved EH&S practices\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.\n\nThe incumbent is responsible for complying with the policies in Whelen’s “Employee Handbook.”\n\nThis Job Description is to serve as a guide.
