This job requires daily travel (shared company vehicle provided) and overnight travel within the New England area as business needs indicate.\nShift/Schedule: Monday – Friday 6AM-4PM (hours may vary) with daily travel\nWhat you’ll do:\nField testing projects as assigned\nForensic investigations of building envelope failures\nCommunicate with project team regarding site observations, test preparation, procedures, results, and reporting matters\nPrepare and submit accurate and concise reports on all projects assigned\nProvide project coordination including planning, scheduling, execution and reporting\nConsistent and professional interaction and communication with clients and project team\nThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nGeneral construction knowledge\nAbility to work from elevated platforms (ladders, boom-lifts, roof levels, scaffolding, etc.)\nAptitude for working independently on assigned projects\nGeneral computer skills – Microsoft Office & Outlook\nAbility to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull as needed\nWillingness to travel daily\nValid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)\nPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:\n2+ years’ experience with commercial construction and/or commercial or residential carpentry experience\nAssociate degree in a technical field preferred\nWorking knowledge of test methods and standards associated with testing of these systems or the ability to learn and comprehend these standards\nTechnical competency and ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers, both in writing and orally\nStrong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing priorities and strict deadlines\nIntertek: Total Quality.
