Maintenance Mechanic A
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Mechanic – A located in Hurst, TX. The Maintenance Mechanic – A is responsible for the efficient manufacture of paint products within the Hurst, Texas manufacturing facility. The quality of the products produced directly impacts our customers and the success of GPS Paints.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Will maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair automated stackers, shrink wrappers, de-nesters, and liquid processing and transfer equipment. Work on pneumatic pumps, high speed dispersers, mixers, piping, forklifts and other stock equipment in a factory environment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks including equipment inspections.
Will operate powered industrial trucks and man lifts to perform maintenance activities
Must ensure that the products produced are of the highest quality
Will work collaboratively with Plant Management to improve work processes
Will troubleshoot machine performance issues
Will actively participate in root cause analysis for failures
Will perform equipment cleaning duties as instructed
Operate computerized maintenance software
Will ensure all tools are safe to perform the required work
Will maintain tools in a safe operating condition
Assists Plant Management to ensure the factory meets all operational parameters and goals.
Complete all required training in a timely manner.
Comply with all GPS Paints Company policies and procedures
Will maintain a clean work area
Will enter all time and material used into Work Orders
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work under direct supervision and follow oral and/or written instructions.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
A high sense of urgency to respond and react to production problems
Four years’ experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
Ability to read and work from prints, layouts, sketches, parts, lists, wiring diagrams and other written directions and schematics.
Ability to troubleshoot, identify and address the root cause of problems with the correct repair.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and determine the root cause. Welding and fabrication experience is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently kneels, stoops, crouches, bends, climbs, reaches overhead, pushes, pulls, and grasps.
Works around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors.
Accurately distinguishes colors.
May be required to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
Frequently carries, relocates and/or lifts up to 70-pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers).
Stands and walks on concrete surfaces for up to 10 or 12 hours per day.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
